These three quotes are from one of my favorite quotable people, John Wayne. I just love how he tells it like it is. Life IS harder if you’re stupid. That’s a fact.

Let’s not be stupid. Let’s learn from the past.

Over any 20-year period you might choose to look at, the following disciplines have resulted in tremendous returns to investors:

1. Diversify prudently and passively among equity asset categories that are known to offset one another.
2. Rebalance your account whenever the market changes.
3. Add cash continuously, and Repeat.

Friends, investing is hard, even if you are smart enough to do this over your lifetime.

But it’s much, much harder when you’re stupid.
